Bandwidth-On-Demand - the ability to utilize multiple ISDN channels, where the number of channels being used is dynamically adjusted depending on the current load of the used channels. When there is little traffic, there is a minimum number of channels that are used, as the load increases, additional channels are added to the circuit. For individual ISDN customers

BRI - basic rate interface. Two 64kbps data channels and one 16kbps signalling channel. Intended to satisfy most single user needs.

Dial-On-Demand - the When there is no data to pass, the connection is automatically terminated, and when there is data to move, the connection is established automatically.

One-Way Dial-On-Demand - a form of Dial-On-Demand in which connections may be established only from the client (customer) side of the connection.

POTS - Plain Old Telephone Service. This is a telephony term that means your normal, analog, telephone service.

Two-Way Dial-On-Demand - a form of Dial-On-Demand in which connections may be established from either the client (customer) or the remote (ISP) side.
